Why this statement?

We are responsible for protecting your personal data in the best possible way. In doing so, we must comply with the requirements of the privacy regulations. Among other things, we want to be transparent about the types of data we process, the purposes for processing, with whom we share data and what rights you have with regard to your own data. Processing your data

When advising on and mediating financial services and products, we ask for personal data such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, bank account number, etc. We also process your data when you contact us or visit the website. DGA Financial Advisors b.v. respects your privacy and that is why your data is processed with the utmost care in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the field of personal data protection. We ensure that only personal data that is accurate, adequate, relevant and not excessive is processed.

Data types

We (possibly) process the following personal data about you:

  • contact details, such as name, address, place of residence, telephone number, and email address;
  • age, gender, marital status;
  • information related to a passport, driver's license or other proof of identity (sometimes we ask for a copy of an ID);
  • information about employment, income, occupation and employer;
  • information about the financial situation, assets, and any debts;
  • information about current financial products, such as bank accounts or insurance;
  • special personal data, for example health (in some cases);
  • information about any criminal offences, fraud aspects (if relevant);
  • data submitted claims/claim history;

When we process health data or criminal data, we do so with the utmost care, and usually only with your consent.

Purposes of data processing

We process your personal data aimed at the following activities in our company, among others:

  • assessing and accepting potential customers;
  • managing (or having) our relationship with (potential) customers and visitors;
  • managing and expanding our customer base;
  • concluding and executing agreements;
  • carrying out analyses of personal data for statistical purposes and the use of an archival destination;
  • carrying out (targeted) marketing and promotional activities to establish, maintain or expand a relationship with a (potential) customer;
  • complying with legal obligations;
  • sending newsletters or information of a specific nature.

Legal grounds for processing data

We use at least one of the following grounds for processing your personal data:

  • executing an agreement for a financial product or service;
  • being able to comply with a legal obligation that lies on us, for example, complying with our legal duty of care during the term of a financial product that was created through our mediation or complying with legal deadlines for storing data;
  • the explicit consent you have given to process data for specific purposes. You can withdraw this consent at any time;
  • to protect our legitimate interests in the context of our business operations or those of a third party. In doing so, we always balance your interests with ours.

Storage and retention period of personal data

We only keep your personal data for as long as and to the extent that we need it. Data that we necessarily need will be kept at least for the duration of our relationship or agreement. If our relationship or agreement ends, we will keep the data for the legal retention periods that apply to us.

Security of your data

We have taken adequate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

Providing data to third parties

We do not simply provide your personal data to others. We may do this if you have given us your consent, if we are obliged to do so by law or a court order, or if such provision serves our purposes of processing personal data.

In order to carry out our business operations and depending on the services provided to you, we may provide your personal data to the following persons or parties:

  • financial institutions (such as banks or insurers) from whom we request a financial product for you or from whom you have a financial product that we manage for you; or; where we guide you throughout the life of the product;
  • persons and bodies that need to be informed under a legal obligation;
  • external parties that process data under our control and responsibility, such as our ICT service provider or our (direct) marketing agency;
  • claims experts, anti-fraud databases such as Fish and Cis;
  • notaries, brokers, lawyers, accountants (where appropriate).

External parties that process personal data under our responsibility do this only for the purposes and under conditions that we have agreed with them. We lay this down in written agreements.

Visit to our website

When you visit our website, we register general visitor data. This includes the most visited pages so that we know what you find interesting. This enables us to improve our services. We process the data at an aggregated level (not traceable to an individual). We use cookies on the website. A cookie ensures that our website recognizes you the next time you visit the website. If you object to the use of cookies, you can disable them in your browser.

You have specific rights with regard to the processing of your personal data. You can always contact us about this.
